ALEX HIGGINS R.I.P.

I expect everybody else will be doing the same, but here's Higgins's clearance of 69 in the 1982 World Championships. It is generally reckoned to be the greatest break of all time. I'm not sure about that - his positional play here is pretty awful - but for a series of extraordinary individual pots, it takes some beating. Either way, it's impossible to ever get tired of watching it.

Legend. That shot on the blue to the top right corner is almost impossible to perform on cloths in use these days.
